Cruzado Dentures in Ottawa is proud to accept patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). If you are eligible, your denture treatments — including full dentures, partial dentures, relines, repairs, and more — may be partially or fully covered, depending on your income level.
If you have been putting off denture care because of cost, the CDCP may be exactly what you have been waiting for. This page explains what the plan covers, whether you qualify, and how to apply.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal government program designed to help Canadians without private dental insurance access the oral health care they need. It is administered by Sun Life and covers a wide range of dental and denture services for eligible residents across Canada.

If approved, you’ll receive a welcome package from Sun Life by mail, including your member card and coverage start date.
Once your coverage begins, book your appointment at Cruzado Dentures. Let us know you’re a CDCP member, and we’ll bill Sun Life directly on your behalf.
No — CDCP applications are made directly through the Government of Canada at canada.ca/dental or by phone at 1-800-277-9914. Once you are approved and have your member card, simply book your appointment with us. We handle the billing with Sun Life directly.
You may still qualify if your coverage comes through a provincial or territorial government program. The CDCP coordinates with these plans. Private or workplace dental insurance, however, disqualifies you.
The CDCP covers a wide range of denture services including full and partial dentures, relines, repairs, and cleanings. Some services may require pre-authorization. Ask us at your free consultation and we can help clarify what your specific coverage includes.
